About
I am an Inserm postdoctoral researcher at the Lyon Neuroscience Research Center, in Fabien Perrin's research group within the CAP team. My work sits between artificial intelligence and clinical neuroscience.
My research question: how can we recognise signs of consciousness in someone who cannot communicate it? After a coma, patients go through states where their responses are fluctuating, sporadic, sometimes invisible to the naked eye. I design machine learning methods that draw on video, brain activity and physiology to improve how these patients are assessed, how their recovery is predicted and how they are cared for.
I did my PhD in neuroscience at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, supervised by Fabien Perrin (CRNL) and Stefan Duffner (LIRIS), with a fellowship from the Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale. My postdoc is funded by the Fondation des Gueules Cassées.
